Meet the Lovers

Jacqui & Sierra
Jacqui (Jac) and Sierra met in 2017 while working together at a supermarket, where a simple workplace connection of juggling tomatoes, bananas and customers quickly turned into something much more special.
Jac made plans to propose to Sierra in the house they first rented together. One night, while the pair were out for dinner, Jac's family were busy decorating their house with rose petals and a “will you marry me?” sign attached to a massive love heart. However, when the lovers returned home, Sierra immediately thought there were intruders in the house and was almost too scared to go inside. Jac managed to convince her (without giving it away) and eventually Sierra found herself in the lounge room, with Jac down on one knee, asking that very big question.
A couple of years later, and it was Sierra's turn to propose to Jac! The pair enjoyed a relaxing afternoon at the spa then shared a luxurious dinner at a popular restaurant in city. Upon sunset, they made their way to the docklands to watch a drone show, where they would “bump” into their best friend (Sierra's accomplice) whose job was to secretly record the proposal. Jac was surprised and happily so! Sierra also made a special mix of their favourite songs to dance to, and dance they did! After years of growing, laughing and building a life together, they were married in 2023. As a proud lesbian couple, their love story is one of friendship, support, pride and choosing each other every single day.

Madeline & Taylor
Madeline & Taylor (better known as Mads & Tay) met in the most modern of ways, matching on Tinder. Their first date was a wholesome Disney marathon where the pair shared their joy nostalgic movies. At first sight, it was abundantly clear, these two super-liked eachother… and movie dates! Fast forward to July 2024 where snowy Mt Hotham is waiting for Mads & Tay to arrive for a cosy winter holiday. One morning before sunrise, Tay snuck out of bed to decorate a nearby viewing platform so that when he and Mads would hike there later, all will be prepared for that big question! Turns out, Tay had to make it a bit more obvious because he is naturally romantic when it comes to Mads, and would do this sort of thing any day of the week.
Two years later, on a golden afternoon, these two lovers were married at the Collingwood Children’s Farm. After 6 years of loving each other, Mads says Tay makes her a better person and Tay says his life is all the more colourful with her in it.

Elizabeth & Simon
Elizabeth & Simon met by happenstance at a bar on St. Patrick’s Day in 2012. They quickly arranged a more intimate date a week later, but Simon had plans (made prior to their meeting), to travel across Asia for 2 months. As such, they endured a brief hiatus while Elizabeth completed her radiology internship in Ballarat. Upon Simon’s return, the pair reconnected and have been inseparable ever since.
In the winter of 2016, Elizabeth was taking in the views at Coronet Peak NZ when Simon got down on one knee to propose! They were married in 2018 (before covid changed everyone’s plans)!
Eight years of marriage is all the happier between these two lovers because they never raise their voices when discussing important issues and always find ways to laugh in tough times. Together, they share a playful sense of adventure, they care deeply about their spouse’s success and support each other without hesitation. -

Jane & Mel
Jane & Mel began dating in 2016, but they had technically already met some years prior having attended the same high school!
At the time, Jane worked night shifts, so the pair only had 2 days a week devoted to quality time (when they weren’t otherwise sleeping or working!)
Every Wednesday night, the couple would workout together at their local gym, and Sunday nights were dinner dates with hot chocolates for dessert.Fast forward to October 3rd 2022, it was a balmy night in the Neon Capital (aka Las Vegas Nevada), where Jane & Mel decided to elope! No proposal necessary - these two lovers were ready and excited to say “I do” - in the presence of Elvis Presley no less!
10 years of love has taught this happy couple to remain open with each other about everything and to take a light hearted approach to life.

Janelle & Chriswell
Janelle & Chriswell (aka Chris) first met in 2006 at Melbourne Central where Janelle was working in sales at the Sunglass Hut and Chris was looking to buy some sunnies on one condition - that she give him her phone number on the receipt.
In April 2007, these love birds take flight to Bangalore, India - Chris’s hometown. While there, Chris introduced Janelle to his family, both living and in spirit. The pair went on a walk to the graveyard where his late brother was laid to rest, when Chriswell got down on one knee and proposed to Janelle.
The lovers returned to Australia and tied the knot 8 months later on December 1st 2007 at St Peter’s Church.
Janelle says “our relationship has always been based on trust and loyalty and we have always been on the same page of life with respect, morals and values“.

You & Your Lover
Love is universal, but yours is unlike any other. No two love stories are the same - your ceremony shouldn’t be either.
